His expertise in tax and corporate law have allowed him to advise major local and foreign companies on issues related to mergers, corporate reorganizations, joint ventures, corporate conflicts management, due diligence, and the design of efficient schemes for business and tax structuring of M&As in companies from different sectors of the economy.
He has advised a significant number of families around the country on the organization and management their assets.
His professional career began as a lawyer for the General Secretariat of Inversiones Mundial S.A, he then worked with major law firms located both in Medellin and Bogota.
He has taught in EAFIT University as the chair of Corporate Commercial Law, and has researched at the same university in the area of economic analysis of law.
He is an arbitrator of the Center for Conciliation, Arbitration and Amicable Composition of the Chamber of Commerce of Medellín.
Fellow of Leiden University with the Academic Excellence Scholarship, and fellow of the COLFUTURO Worlds Link Program of the Municipality of Medellin.
During the year of his masters in Holland, he participated as a representative of Leiden University in The European Law Moot Court Competition, the most important competition in matters of European law. His team obtained arrived first in Best Written Pleadings.
He was the special guest and winner of the Rogelio de la Guardia scholarship of the Biennial Latin American Conference of the International Bar Association (IBA) in 2012.
